International Abba Magazine No. 18

The 18th issue of the International Abba Magazine was published in May 1983 and featured a picture of Agnetha on the front cover. The editorial section of the managine included the following updates -
  • Frida's solo single "I Know There's Something Going On" had reached number 13 on the Billboard chart in the US
  • Agnetha's solo album would not include the track "I'm Still Alive" (previous issues of the magazine had said this would be included)
The majority of this issue was taken up with an interview (spread over 11 pages) from the previous Autumn when Frida met with the French Fan Club the highlights of which were -
  • Frida said she was given 500 songs to consider for her solo album
  • The video for "To Turn The Stone" was recorded in Holland
  • Frida confirmed that she already had plans for her next solo album
  • Her favourite track on the album is "To Turn The Stone"
  • Frida agreed that "The Visitors" would have been a more suitable single (to reflect Abba's new sound) than "Head Over Heels"
  • She loved recording "Like An Angel Passing Through My Room" as it was recorded with her and Benny alone in the studio
  • Frida spent 15 days preparing her voice to record the title track from "The Visitors"
  • Abba were on a two year break while Bjorn and Benny worked on their musical
