Today I thought I would look back at two A-Teens CD singles ("Mamma Mia" and "Super Trouper") from my collection.
"Mamma Mia" was the group's first single from their album "The Abba Generation" and was released in May 1999. The single was a huge hit in Sweden (number 1 for eight weeks) and performed well in other countries as shown below ;
- Number 1 - Sweden, Argentina, Chile
- Number 3 - Norway, Ukraine
- Number 9 - Netherlands, Switzerland
- Number 10 - Germany
- Number 12 - Mexico, UK
- Number 13 - New Zealand
- Number 14 - Austria, Finland
The group's second single "Super Trouper" was released in November 1999 and reached number 2 in Sweden, 4 in Germany and number 21 in the UK. My favourite track from the CD single is the medley which at just under seven and a half minutes long is one to recommend.
