Today in 1976 Abba's "Dancing Queen" entered the Australian charts where it stayed for 25 weeks including 8 weeks at number 1. The group had seven of their singles in the end of year chart in the following positions -
- Number 1 - "Fernando"
- Number 3 - "Dancing Queen"
- Number 7 - "Money, Money, Money"
- Number 14 - "Rock Me"
- Number 16 - "S.O.S"
- Number 28 - "Mamma Mia"
- Number 49 - "Ring Ring"
It may seem as if "S.O.S" and "Mamma Mia" are a little low down the 1976 chart however they were actually released the previous year - in the 1975 year end chart "Mamma Mia" was the 3rd biggest seller.
