31s May 1983 - Agnetha releases "Wrap Your Arms Around Me"

On the 31st May 1983 Agnetha released her first English language solo album "Wrap Your Arms Around Me".

In terms of chart positions "Wrap Your Arms Around Me" reached number 18 in the UK album chart spending a total of 13 weeks in the Top 100.

19th May 1979

On the 19th May 1979 ABBA's latest album "Voulez-Vous" hit the number 1 spot in the UK album charts where it stayed for 4 weeks. In the 1979 year end chart "Voulez-Vous" was the 5th biggest selling album of the year with ABBA's "Greatest Hits Volume 2" reaching number 8 in the same year.

Look-In Magazine 9th June 1979

I have just added a copy of the UK magazine "Look-In" from 1979 to my collection - I used to buy the magazine when I was at school so no doubt I had the original at some point.

The article included a competition to win ABBA's latest album - "Voulez-Vous" - the questions seem fairly tough compared to similar competitions today.
