Abba Date "S.O.S" Single Released

This week in 1975 Abba released "S.O.S" in the UK which re-launched their career here following a series of less than successful singles.

The single entered the chart w/c 27th September 1975 at number 31 then began a steady march up the charts as follows -

• w/c 4th October - #16
• w/c 11th October - #13
• w/c 18th October - #7
• w/c 25th October - #6

The single was the 64th biggest selling single of 1975 in the UK ; the Bay City Rollers "Bye Bye Baby" being the top of the end of year chart.
