With all of the excitement around the live Abba album to be released in September it's timely that this week I am looking back at issue 18 of the Abba Magazine which was looking forward to Abba's first concert at Wembley on November 5th 1979.
The magazine included a three page article where Benny, Bjorn and Stig discussed the preparations for the tour including Bjorn saying that the songs from "Voulez-Vous" would feature more than older songs such as "Ring Ring" and "Bang-A-Boomerang".
In the same article Stig also announced that the group would be releasing "Greatest Hits Vol 2" along with a new single and that they would be spending the first few month of 1980 working on new material.
The front and back cover of the magazine showed the group rehearsing for the tour and inside the magazine there was another two pages of similar pictures.
The magazine included several non-tour related pieces including a continuation of the Abba story in cartoon format, a focus on Bjorn's history and two page hororscope for Benny.
