Abba Date - 25th July 1972
On the 25th July 1972 Abba's single "People Need Love" first entered the Swedish chart, although as you can see from the picture below at that point they were still called Bjorn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid. The single reached number 17 and spent a total of five weeks in the charts.

Abba Date - 24th July 1975
Today, 24th July, in 1975 ABBA released Bang-a-boomerang with SOS (which you would think was the wrong way round) as the B side in France on Vogue records - the single peaked at number 59 spending a total of 5 weeks in the French charts.

Abba Date - 21st July 1983
On the 21st July 1983 Agnetha released her latest single "Can't Shake Loose" (b-side "Man") in Japan. The single was written by Russ Ballard who also wrote Frida's single "I Know There's Something Going On".

Collection - Belgian "S.O.S" Single
The image below shows the Belgian release of Abbas "S.O.S" single from my collection. The single was released in 1975 where it reached number 1 for two weeks and was part of a run of 18 singles (starting with "I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" and ending with "Super Trouper") to reach number 1 or 2 in the charts.
